A lot of people are hating now this franchise for many reasons, mainly for the quality of his games, or the TV series on Cartoon Network that isn't that great, or most importantly, the ugly "Fanbase" he has.
Yes, I also hate this Fanbase, and it's one of the most horrific and ugliest Fanbases of all time, but thats doesn't mean that the Sonic franchise needs to DIE!!!
Im my personal opinion, the series only needs to have... GOOD games!
Yes, for more than one decade, Sonic games had a very questionable quality, I know, they had a few good ones, but majority of them aren't good, they're BAD! really bad, they're so bad that the Fan-games are better than the official ones.
And "thats" the point of the reason, the only thing that SEGA needs to do it contact and contract poeple that like making Sonic games, or the people that made great Fan-games of the blue hedgehog. The last time SEGA did it was when they contacted Christian Whitehead A.K.A TaxMan to remake the Classic Sonic games on actual Smathphones, and it's Fantastic! Widescreen Support, 60fps, Controls, Graphics, No Glitches, it was great! And it show that contact with Fans making games can be a Good thing!
And now TaxMan with many more fans are creating a new Fan-game of Sonic, only this time, it's the biggest of all. It's called "Retro Sonic Nexus", a combination between Sonic XG, Retro Sonic and Sonic Nexus, three of the best Fan-games working together to be the greatest experience of Sonic in a lot of years. This game is development right now, although this is good news, it is regrettable that SEGA not laid eyes on his work.
Because these fans are creating great videogames, while SEGA is just defecating his own franchise making garbage like Sonic Dash and Sonic Runners on the cellphones, thats only pay-to-win junk.
I'ts really sad and kind of shame.
"In conclusion, Sonic doesn't need to die, only SEGA needs to give the franchise to the right people."
Ok, people, ending this post I would recommend to all of you the new song by Sam Smith called 'Writing of the Wall' from the new 007 movie called 'Spectre' that looks awesome!

SEGA needs to go back to the original Sonic formula like they did in sonic generatrions, those mechanics were far more entertaining.
